God Wants to Talk to You

Hearing Randy Pausch last night was wonderful. I'm not surprised he was raised by a loving Christian family. I'm also not surprised that he feels it necessary to keep his religion private. Don't most Christians feel a need to back off of others because we might make someone uncomfortable? I understand that Randy wants all to benefit from his insights and doesn't feel he has the time needed to gain the trust of most people to give them the "real" message of true freedom and happiness.

God loves us all so much that He gave His one and only son for us, each and every one of us. He makes it so easy to receive Him into our lives. I guess we all learn, in this world, that if something sounds too good to be true, it isn't true. Well, guess what, the good news about Jesus Christ is just that.

God wants to talk to each of us on a regular basis. We just don't want to listen ( we don't have time, we're too busy, we're trying to make ends meet, we're supporting families, etc.). Didn't He say He would take care of our daily needs if we would simply trust and obey?

Try one simple thing, read the Upperroom on a daily basis. Christians the entire world over get their daily communication from God through this vital instrument of His people. His message in this small daily devotional is always clear and inspiring. (UpperRoom.org) Try it!!!

Have a great day, I know I will. luv, Susan
