Is Anyone Out There?

I've been a pest of late "suggesting" to others that recycling aluminum cans should be done everywhere. Homes, schools, churches, it's really not that hard to do and it's beneficial in so many ways.

Natalie Portman was on GMA this morning, she's doing wonderful things, outside of her spectacular acting career, to help others. Specifically, she's spearheading an organization that helps women in underdeveloped countries get started in businesses of their own, to escape their poverty-stricken circumstances. It reminds me of the Bible verse that says, to those who much is given, much is expected in return ( I'll have to look it up. ) Richie Farmer mentioned the same sentiment in his book, and it's no surprise that he's a public servant now.

Haven't we all been given so much here in our country. Clean water, an abundance of food, opportunities galore, the list is unending. Shouldn't we also be expected, in response, to take care of our world, and each other?

I am so grateful that Spring has sprung. I'm gonna go do my taxes. Have a great day, luv, Susan
